Hi I have been running homestay for 16 years and have met some wounderful and enlightening people in my contact pagem from the Phillipines and have visited Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia.I am a hairdress as well and love gardening.
The main rules of the house are be tidy and clean leave bathroom as you found it. Be aware of lighting and water in New Zealand and dont over use or leave on when not in the room. Be respectful to host mum because that is what she is your host mom while you are away from your country.
